Our story
Courtronic is a software company with a passionate team of problem solvers dedicated to finding solutions that allow court systems to become more efficient and productive through a greater utilization of technology.

Cory Giovanella, the founder, realized there were many areas of inefficiencies in the courts and decided the opportunities for such automation technology were limitless if you have the right resources and freedom to follow your ideas. And so Courtronic was formed.
The Courtonic team isn’t stopping with TAP; they are already working on developing new software for the sector, always with a dedication to evolving technology that allows for more streamlined processes.
Our founder
Cory Giovanella spent the first twenty years of his professional career working for various software companies, predominantly in the electronic document management space, helping organizations automate and streamline document-centric business processes. Growing up, he was always questioning why things were done a certain way and coming up with ways to improve them.
In 2010, he began working with one of the appellate courts in California to streamline the process of creating an appellate record. The final product, named the Transcript Assembly Program (TAP) was implemented in the nine lower courts that sent cases to that appellate court, and it was very successful. The time to create an appellate record was reduced by 50 – 70%, but there was one sticking point. It required multiple software applications to be installed on servers and computers. This prevented many courts from moving forward with the solution.
Cory stayed in touch with the courts and years later, that same appellate court came back to him to see if the software could be developed further to expand its functionality. By that time, technology had changed where the solution could be completely cloud based. A grant was secured for the project that led to the development of a fully cloud-based version of TAP.
When Cory isn’t working on creating solutions to improve the courts, he likes to spend his time underwater. He is an avid SCUBA diver with a love for the ocean and marine life. In addition to recreational diving, he also takes part in dives dedicated to improving marine life in aquariums and cleaning up debris.
Our values
People love to buy from and support businesses they believe in. It’s what makes small businesses so special, and it’s why we choose to share our values publicly.
Environmentally Conscious
Our oceans are a critical part of our planet and necessary for survival. Pollution from chemicals and plastic along with the increase in carbon dioxide absorption is leading to irreparable harm. Courtronic is proud to support Project Aware, an organization dedicated to protecting the oceans through policy changes, community-based events and science-based approaches.
Remote First
We’ve worked remotely from day one and have seen the extraordinary benefits of a remote-first company and culture. It enables us to hire the best talent we can find, and for our team to enjoy flexibility and unprecedented work-life harmony.
Do Less, Do It Better
Instead of chasing feature parity, we aspire to build products that get the details right. From the very beginning, our customers' input has played a critical role in developing our solutions. Customer satisfaction is a top priority and we will continue to focus relentlessly on them.
